Welcome to the Bonnechere Museum in Eganville Ontario!
As a living museum, we encompass the whole natural and cultural history of life as it developed in the Bonnechere Valley
Written in Stone
The geological history of the Bonnechere Valley is vast - and still there for us to find in fossils and in the land.
Carved in Wood
The great pineries of the Bonnechere Valley created a logging industry that grew the communities around us.
Silvered in Water
The pure waters of the Algonquin Dome have provided resources to people in this region for centuries - for survival and for recreation.
Welcome to the Museum!
We are open Victoria Day weekend to Labour Day:
Mondays closed (except Holiday Mondays)
Tuesday - Saturday 10am - 4pm
Sunday 1pm - 4pm
During Off Season, visits are by appointment only.
The History of the Bonnechere Valley
With a rich geological history and many cultural resources due to our fertile land next to the Bonnechere River, this land has been lived on, developed, and enjoyed for centuries.
